Strategic Meeting Management is an independent meeting consulting business with expertise in project management, hotel contracts, negotiations and in-house training. At the helm is Amy Turell, CMP a meeting manager professional with 13 years of progressive experience in pre-conference planning, hotel and third party negotiations, onsite meeting management and post meeting reconciliation.

Amy began her career as a travel consultant in 1994 working as a group travel manager and then moved into registration and project management with J.R. Schuman Associates. In 1999, Amy began work at CXO Media (an IDG company) in their Executive Programs department and over the years progressed to the Director of Event Planning and Operations. In 2001, Amy received her CMP - Certified Meeting Professional certificate. While working for CXO for 7 1/2 years Amy was recognized for creative cost savings and extensive hotel negotiations which saved the company over $300,000 annually.

Currently Amy is focused on building her meeting consulting business.
